On January 10, 2005 Paramedics For Children was asked by the Indonesian Minister of Health to put together a disaster relief team to leave immediately for Indonesia. Our mission was to deploy to city of Medan, Indonesia, and from there we were to be taken to the heart of the disaster near the town of Melabo. From Melabo we were transported again to the village of Puloie. Once there we were able to set up our forward medical clinic.

Once there, we got down to business and were able to treat hundreds of men, women, and children. The mission lasted for 13 days and was a great success. Pictured here on the left is the entire team with our Indonesian military escort.

For those of you who are interested you can read the entire travel diary by clicking here. Logistics for this mission were handled by Brian Lewis of Carolina Tailgate, and Jennifer VanWie. We would like to take this time to thank them, as well as so many other people, and volunteers who helped make this mission possible.
